Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 has released a new trailer and key visual for the upcoming Seedrun Arc. The announcement, shared on November 4, 2026, confirms that the next storyline begins with the broadcast of Episode 6, as the series transitions from its current narrative focus into a new setting.
This update marks a significant turning point for the production, which premiered in October 2026 following a four-year hiatus after the debut season. The series is currently performing at the top of community tracking charts, holding the #1 spot on AniList's trending list for the Fall 2026 season as of early November.
What We Know
The official update confirms the Seedrun Arc (Shidoran-hen) will officially commence on November 11, 2026. The new trailer and the second key visual for the season highlight the port city of Seedrun, where the protagonists will find themselves embroiled in a plot involving royal succession.
Studio C2C is handling the animation for the second season with Shinji Ishihira returning as director. The official announcement also confirmed five new cast members joining the production for this arc:
- Fult: Satsuki Kokubu
- Satia: Yurie Kozakai
- Miriam: Hazuki Ogino
- Serimea: Sayumi Suzushiro
- Varuza: Katsuyuki Konishi
These actors join returning leads Ai Kakuma as Fran and Shinichiro Miki as Master. The production staff remains consistent with the first half of the season, featuring series composition by Takahiro Nagano, character designs by Atsuko Saito, and music by Yasuharu Takanashi (Team-MAX). The season's themes continue with the opening "DREAM OF BUTTERFLY" by FZMZ and the ending "Baribari Buddy" by Hanabie.
Why It Matters
The Seedrun Arc represents the conclusion of the Sky Island Arc and a shift toward a more politically charged narrative. By moving the setting to a coastal city and introducing turmoil regarding the royal line, the series expands the scope of the world Fran and Master inhabit. The show's top ranking on AniList suggests it has successfully retained its audience despite the long gap between seasons.
